Editing an Existing Category in the Knowledge Base

Follow these easy steps to update or modify categories in your Knowledge Base.

Editing categories in your Knowledge Base allows you to keep information up-to-date and ensure users have access to accurate content. Here’s a simple guide on how to edit an existing category from the dashboard.

Step 1: Access the Dashboard

From the sidebar, go to the Knowledge Base section. This section provides tools to manage and organize your content effectively.

Step 2: Open the Categories Section

Click on Dashboard to reveal a dropdown list. Select Categories from the dropdown. This will show you a list of all categories currently in your Knowledge Base.

Step 3: Select a Category to Edit

In the list of categories, locate the category you want to modify. Click on Edit Category for that specific entry. This action will open a dialog where you can make updates.

Step 4: Make Your Edits

In the dialog box, you can update the following details:

  • Name: Modify the category name if needed to improve clarity or relevance.

  • Description: Update the description to better represent the content within this category.

  • Link: Adjust the link if there are any changes to the location or structure of the content.

Step 5: Save Your Changes

After making your edits, click the Save button to apply the changes. Your category will now be updated with the new information.

By regularly editing your categories, you can keep your Knowledge Base organized and helpful, allowing users to find exactly what they’re looking for.
